Best old school track rediscovered in 2011:
Dusty Springfield - In Private
I don’t mean that I had forgotten about Dusty Springfield, but the albums I was used to listening to were the old ones, full of standards, strings and glamour. Thanks to Raindrops, I discovered her late works, among which the excellent 1978 album It Begins Again (with the killer disco That’s The Kind Of Love I’ve Got For You), and rediscovered In Private, that brought me back to my high school years. I absolutely love the background vocals and the Supremes feeling. The only Pet Shop Boys track that I can put up with.
